SlimLine ARM7 CPU module is the central basic processing unit of this programmable
controller (PLC) family and may be supplied as a open frame PCB suitable for system integrators.
The device allows the management of all the SlimLine I/O expansion modules through its I2C™ High-Speed
bus, and incorporates an high efficiency power supply designed to support
the connection of up to 16 expansion modules (to be verified according to
the module connected).
The device is equipped with an integrated web server which can make available configuration web pages and general information on the state of the system, as well as full user configurable web pages (5).

Using non-volatile memory technology FRAM (Ferroelectric
RAM), it was possible the elimination of the Lithium battery (5), minimizing the environmental impact at the end of life.
The FRAM technology
also guarantees a number of virtually unlimited write cycles,
thereby improving system reliability, and a very low consumption of energy
even during writing cycles.
The board is available in three different versions:
Lite: 2 RS232C, 1 USB, 4 digital I/O,
Full RS485: 2 RS232C, 1 USB, digital
I/O, Eth., 1 insulated RS485,
Full CAN: 2 RS232C, 1 USB, digital I/O,
Eth., 1insulated CAN.
For the connection of the extension modules it is necessary
to use the proper bus
extension cables (Code CBL074**00) to be ordered separately.
The I/O's connections are made through extractable TB for
an easier maintenance (to be ordered separately).
The SlimLine family of PLC has been designed with the perspective
of protecting the investment in programming made by the Customer in terms
of portability from/to other platforms, both in terms of copy protection and
fraudulent use (see FAQ100).
There is a wide range of libraries and function blocks (FB)
selected to perform variety of functions.
There are also some available optionally for the use of which is necessary
to get the unlocking code at the MID (Manufacturer ID) or DID (Device ID)
level. See the list.
The extended range of power supply together with
the low power consumption and the wide operating
temperature, make the product suitable for applications in
industrial and automotive fields, and, generally whereas a battery
power source is requested, such as the Remote stations (RTUs).
